What's the preaching like on Sunday morning?
Fire and Brimstone doesn't really do it for me. Fire and Brimstone doesn't excite us either. We think getting to know Jesus ought to be exciting so we combine an upbeat blend of contemporary and traditional worship styles. We clap when the music is good and shout out on a really great day. You'll walk away from virtually every Sunday morning message with something you can use in your life. We keep it relevant, current and practical and by golly, we're fun!

I'm nervous about visiting. I don't know anyone. What if I don't fit in?
Of course you're nervous. I was once new to Sugarloaf and in fact, we were all new at one point. Read what we're about and see if it will set you at ease.

We're all about Celebration We love great music, good company, food, or any excuse to come together for fun. On Sundays we sing, listen to the talents of our worship arts team and learn how to live a better life using Christian principles. We're able to do this because… We're all about Community We pull together to make this church happen. After all, everyone needs a place to call home - a place to give a pat on the back (and receive one) - and a place to go for support. We're striving to provide a wide range of small group opportunities so everyone can find that special place to use their talents, to grow and to serve. We're a growing, strong community because… We're all about Compassion And that starts right here. We're a community of regular folks. Real people. Some of us know how to mess up our lives pretty good while some of us know exactly what to do to pick up the pieces and help out a friend. We've learned that when we reach out to one other within the walls of Sugarloaf, it spills over into the community at large and even across the globe! When a person has experienced being loved and accepted (warts and all) they want to take that to the streets. And we provide that with many outreach opportunities. We're able to extend compassion because… We're all about Hope It's not too late for anyone to turn things around. There is more to life and faith than any of us could ever imagine. No matter what you're facing at this moment – there's hope through a growing faith in God and the support of a church family.

Ok... Maybe I could fit in at Sugarloaf. Is there something for my kids?
Oh boy is there! And it's a BLASt or a SLAM depending on their ages.

BLASt: Whatever you experienced with Sunday School back in the day, forget that. It's not that we don't appreciate it but we've juiced it up a bit so Sunday School is a BLASt! If your 3 yr. old to 5th grader likes movies, construction, science, art, computers, drama, and being wacky then BLASt is for them. They'll be begging you to come back!

SLAM: Maybe all your middle or high school kid needs is a good SLAM! SLAM stands for "Student Life AM" and it's an innovative Sunday morning worship hour at 9:30 that's relevant, fun and exciting. With one of the best, most challenging outreach programs around, our kids have touched the lives of people all over the US and even Costa Rica, Mexico, Uganda and the Czech Republic.

And there's also...
Our tender loving nursery for babies through three years. There's lots of hugs, snuggles, story time and play. They can even squeeze in a snooze in our clean and comfortable cribs.

Oh well, I have a special needs child. Guess I'll just...
Hey wait! We're about community, compassion, celebration and hope and that goes for everyone. We're ever growing and striving to open doors wider so there's room for all of us. Our special needs ministry is called Glowing Lights and they are here to serve you and your family.
