PASSOVER 2010 Sugarloaf & McKendree United Methodist Churches
Thursday, April 1st at 7:00pmTO EAT THIS PASSOVER WITH YOU BEFORE I SUFFER. (LUKE 22:15) For most of His life, Jesus celebrated Passover in Jerusalem. The Passover Seder-with all of its symbolism-was used by Jesus to explain His ministry one last time on the Thursday night before his crucifixion. At the end of this meal, Jesus asked His disciples to "Do this in remembrance of Me." More and more Christians are now including the Seder meal in their Holy Week activities, and learning the significance of this ceremony & celebration that connects us with our Jewish heritage. You are invited to participate in this moving experience as SUMC is joining with McKendree UMC in hosting a Passover Seder on Thursday, April 1st at 7 p.m., at SUMC. The evening lasts about two hours and includes a delicious meal of authentic Passover dishes. Reservations are required and there are only 225 reserved seat tickets ($18.50/ticket), on sale until March 21st, so please be sure to register early. In 2009 Kelly launched MenStepUp.com, an "online environment for leaders" that extends far beyond the web and encourages, supports, and networks a new breed of aspiring leaders around the country.
