| Elementary BLASt (Bible Learning Adventure Stations) |

What is Elementary BLASt? Each Sunday our kids begin BLASt by worshiping together (K-4th grade). Kids Worship Leader, Mr. Tony, together with our Sugarloaf Kids Director, Mrs. Lori, motivate our kids and introduce the week's lesson in a fun and active setting... it feels like a workout if you're an adult! After worship, kids rotate to the workshop of the day. Some of our workshops may include drama, cooking, crafts and computers, just to name a few. Workshops are different each Sunday at the 9:30AM and 11:00AM services.

CSI Lip Gloss Recipe
You asked for it, so here it is! Our very popular Lip Gloss Project...
Materials: 1 tsp Honey, 1tbsp solid vegetable shortening,
Unsweetened flavored powered drink mix,
Hot water - ¼ teaspoon & small container (the size of a lip gloss pot)
Lip Gloss Instructions: Mix together the shortening and honey. In a separate bowl, combine the drink mix and water, dissolving the powder. Stir the water mixture one drop or two at a time into the shortening and honey. Mix until the gloss is colored and scented the way you want it. Place it in the container. It will keep three days in the refrigerator.

Ice Cream In A Bag
Also by popular demand, here is our recipe for Ice Cream in a Bag. This recipes makes enough ice cream for two people…
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup half-and-half
½ teaspoon vanilla
½ cup rock salt
Ice
1 pint size zipper bag
Sprinkles
Mix the sugar, half-and-half and vanilla in the pint size bag and seal tightly. Make sure the seal is tight or the rock salt will get into the ice cream. You may wish to duct tape it closed. Combine the rock salt and ice in the large bag. Put the small bag inside the larger bag and seal. Shake the bag for about 5 minutes until the ice cream is made. Put sprinkles on the ice cream and enjoy it!
Are you ready for THE EDGE? Fifth grade children (tweeners) are at a critical stage in their lives - too old to be with the little ones and too young to be with the middle/high schoolers. In our eyes, they are a very special and unique group of children with very special and unique needs. We believe it is our job to meet their needs at their level. The Edge teaches our tweeners that our attitudes and actions need to reflect Christ 24/7 in all that we do and say (Philippians 2:4-7) through Christian videos, games, crafts, Bible reflections and small group time. Come join us Sunday mornings at 9:30 in the Sugarloaf Kids building as we "Lift up our 5th graders to THE EDGE!"
