Serving INSIDE the Walls Volunteer Opportunities

There are growing opportunities and serving opportunities in every ministry area.  Volunteers are always needed; as that is part of the membership vow. Some of the entry-level areas of service are listed below, but feel free to contact the directory of any ministry area with a specific passion or request to serve.

Door Greeters:  Serve one Sunday a month, for one half hour, before each service. Greet everyone who enters the doors, assist special needs and elderly, direct and escort visitors to the Guest Services Team. 


Connections Cafe Coffee Team: Serve one Sunday a month, for a half hour shift before each service.  Also opportunities to serve after church services on clean up duty. The Cafe team serves up coffee with a smile and a warm welcome and takes every opportunity to tell others about our campus-wide coffee ministry called DRINK COFFEE DO GOOD.®

Connections Cafe Support Team: This team of dedicated volunteers serves each Sunday morning filling coffee carafes for the Adult Education classes and at the end of Worship Service gathering and returning the carafes to the church kitchen.  This is an important but anonymous way to serve. 

Guest Services Host: Serve one Sunday a month for a half hour shift before and/or after service.  These hosts escort visitors to various campus buildings, give tours and answer questions. 

Parking Team:  Serve one Sunday a month for the entire morning.  This team assist motorist as they park, help finding designated parking spots, direct traffic and offer a warm welcome.


Coupon ministry:  Serve on an as-needed basis to organize and file coupons that are shared with members and the general public who cut coupons. 

New Member luncheon team:  Serves twice a year to purchase, set-up, host and clean up the bi-annual luncheon for the new members of the church.

Women's Ministry  Team - Serve as on special events for the Women's Ministry.

Men's Ministry Team - Serve on special events for the Mens Ministry, Breakfast team, Retreats.

Sugarloafers Team - Serve on special events for the Sugarloafers.

The Journey - Help setup the Arts Center each Sunday morning at 9:15 for class.  Coordinate plans for group breakfast each Sunday.  Work with coffee volunteers to get coffee to group and returned to cafe.

Choir Member - Join the Sugarloaf Choir.  This is a great ministry to share your musical gifts and make friends!  Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 6:30-8:15pm in the Arts Center.  Serve on Sunday Mornings during worship services.  

Usher - Assist everyone in finding a place to sit, and help with our morning offering.  Serve once per month on Sunday mornings.  

Band - Do you play an instrument proficiently?  If so, then audition for the Sugarloaf Band.  Band rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:30pm, on a rotating schedule.  Serve every third Sunday morning during worship.

Production Team - (Sound, lighting, visual and cameras)  You can help in our production team.  Training is provided and you would serve one Sunday per month during worship services.
